Verified considers peer references to be current or former co-workers, client
contacts or professors; not friends, neighbors or pastors. We begin by asking
the contact to define their relationship to the applicant before moving
forward. We ask for the appropriate time to conduct a ten to fifteen minute
evaluation of your candidate’s skills, work ethic, strengths, weaknesses,
accomplishments and other related areas of importance, as defined by our
clients. Peer references often paint a better picture regarding a candidate’s
performance in situations when dates and titles are the only professional
referencing material provided by an employer.
